Look who's blogging now!
Barb's got a blog! As you might expect, knowing Barb, she's got lots of ideas to blog about and has already shared an imaginative activity to do with and for children and has also started a contest/game kind of thing.
Here's the link to her new blog. I bet she'd be encouraged if you would leave her a comment and add her to your blogroll.

Pandora
Tired and sick still.
My middle son reminded me last night about a pretty neat thing on the internet that you music lovers out there might like to check out. Pandora. You tell it a musician, band, or composer that you like and it sets up a "station" of music featuring that artist and others in a similar vein. It's nice for discovering new music and enjoying old favorites.
Pandora.com probably.
The track below is the one that is currently sending me into orbit. In a desert island situation I probably wouldn't take too much bluegrass, really, but I would take that particular song.

Finished the Brothers....wow.
Now listening to these lectures on it...the professor is full of enthusiasm for the book and has great insights: http://webcast.berkeley.edu/course_details.php?seriesid=1906978306
It would be fabulous to find lectures like that from a directly Christian viewpoint, but the professor seems to handle the Christian themes pretty fairly and insightfully. It's just that he has something else in view that he's fascinated by in the book.
PS...to complete the Russian theme around here I have ordered up some nice cold weather. And I'm making a cabbage pie for dinner (a dish that was mentioned in the Brothers Karamazov several times).
